Glyphosate- and acetolactate synthase inhibitor-resistant kochia (<i>Bassia scoparia</i>) control in field pea

چکیده
Kochia [Bassia scoparia (L.) A.J. Scott] is an invasive C 4 tumbleweed in the Great Plains of North America, where it impedes crop harvest and causes significant yield losses. Rapid evolution spread glyphosate- acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor-resistant kochia western Canada limit herbicide options available for control these biotypes field pea (Pisum sativum L.); one predominant pulse crops grown this region. Field experiments were conducted near Lethbridge, Alberta, 2013–2015 Coalhurst, 2013–2014 to determine which effectively ALS pea. Visible injury was minor (0%–4%) all environments except Lethbridge 2013, pre-plant (PP) flumioxazin treatments containing post-emergence (POST) imazamox/bentazon resulted unacceptable (14%–23%) visible Herbicide impacts on overall. Carfentrazone + sulfentrazone PP saflufenacil followed by POST ?80% environments, while alone reduction biomass compared with untreated (albeit, absent statistical difference Coalhurst 2014). These results suggest that layering protoporhyrinogen oxidase-inhibiting herbicides or carfentrazone ALS- photosystem II-inhibiting combination can also mitigating further selection resistance through use multiple effective modes-of-action.

Glyphosate-Resistant Weed Control and Soybean Injury in Response to Different PPO-Inhibiting Herbicides
In Nebraska, 5-enolpyruvyl shikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) as well as acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibitor-resistant weeds occur in many soybean fields where herbicides from these modes-of-action have been frequently used in the past. Currently, the protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO)-inhibitors are the only effective herbicides for POST control of both glyphosateand ALS-inhibitor-resistan...

Evolution of glyphosate-resistant kochia is a threat to no-till wheat-fallow and glyphosate-resistant (GR) cropping systems of the US Great Plains. The EPSPS (5-enol-pyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase) gene amplification confers glyphosate resistance in the tested Kochia scoparia (L.) Schrad populations from Montana. Experiments were conducted in spring to fall 2014 (run 1) and summer 2014 t...
متن کاملPEST MANAGEMENT: WEEDS Control Options for Acetolactate Synthase- Resistant Smallflower Umbrella Sedge in Arkansas Rice
Smallflower umbrella sedge is an increasingly problematic weed in direct-seeded rice in Arkansas. Recently, a sample collected from an Arkansas rice field was confirmed resistant to halosulfuron (Permit). Studies were conducted to determine the effectiveness of various acetolactate synthase (ALS)-inhibiting herbicides on control of the resistant biotype relative to a susceptible biotype and to ...
متن کاملProtein trans-splicing to produce herbicide-resistant acetolactate synthase.
Protein splicing in trans has been demonstrated both in vivo and in vitro by biochemical and immunological analyses, but in vivo production of a functional protein by trans-splicing has not been reported previously. In this study, we used the DnaE intein from Synechocystis sp. strain PCC6803, which presumably reconstitutes functional DnaE protein by trans-splicing in vivo, to produce functional...
